First class is the same regardless of start-to-finish locations (as long as you are within the US). 

First Class Mail Domestic Prices: (these are retail prices and are for parcels only) 

Parcel is defined as anything that is more than 1/4" thick, and measures no more than 12" on any one side

This list is for US Domestic retail postage rates for 1st class packages weighing up to 13 oz.

Anything over 13.01 oz must be shipped either surface/Standard post or priority mail. The priority mail is only a few cents more than standard and takes a LOT LESS time to arrive.
